The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) is a non-profit organization changing the world for women and technology. ABI provides resources and programs to help industry, academia and government recruit, retain and develop women leaders in high technology careers. Founded in 1997 by Dr. Anita Borg (1949-2003) ABI's mission is two-fold:
.    to increase the impact of women on all aspects of technology
.    to increase the positive impact of technology on the world's women.

Led by President, Dr. Telle Whitney, ABI accomplishes its mission through specific programs: The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference, The Systers online community, TechLeaders, the Virtual Development Center, the Anita Borg Awards and the Women of Vision Awards. These numerous platforms ensure women's voices, ideas and spirits influence technology and change the world for women and for technology.
