2006 Pacesetter Award Winners
PBWC is pleased to announce the 4th Annual PBWC Pacesetter Award. In our seventeen year history, PBWC has worked to support the advancement of women in the workplace. With the continuation of the Pacesetter Award, we will honor those Bay Area companies that embody the mission of our organization and that work to advance women on an ongoing basis.
The Pacesetter Award winners are listed below in ranked order. The criteria used in ranking each company and determining this year's winners are:
* Percentage of women on the Board of Directors
* Percentage of women corporate officers
* Percentage of women executives in the Bay Area defined as vice president and above
* Percentage of women employees in the Bay Area
* Programs the company has in place to support women in the workplace such as mentoring, internal women's networks, advancement, benefits, leadership, community outreach, etc.
* Flexible work arrangements for Bay Area women in exempt positions. Indicate the number that are working part time, the number that are job sharing, and the number that are working flexible schedules
During the keynote luncheon, State Senator Jackie Speier honored the Bay Area companies that exemplified our mission.
