Board to Commemorate 20th Anniversary of Organization Founded by U.S. Congresswoman

SAN FRANCISCO, April 15, 2008 – Professional BusinessWomen of California (PBWC), a 22,000-member San Francisco-based non-profit organization advancing the professional and personal development of women, today announced the election of Ann Barlow as president and Shirley Gordon as secretary, and the addition of three new board members, Mary Ann Bianco, René Kim and Judy Love. Sharon Powers of PriceWaterhouseCoopers will remain as treasurer.
Ann Barlow, president of Peppercom Strategic Communications west coast operations, will serve as the newly elected board president for PBWC during the organization’s 20th anniversary year in 2008. A resident of San Ramon, Barlow previously served as the organization’s secretary. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Illinois.
Shirley Gordon, a resident of Santa Rosa who joined the board in 2007, is vice president-operations for State Farm Insurance Companies. Gordon earned her bachelor’s from Hampton University and master’s from Illinois State University.
MaryAnn Bianco, a resident of Danville, is vice president for service delivery management at Oracle Corporation. She holds a master of education degree from Boston University in educational administration and a bachelor’s degree in special education from Slippery Rock University.
Rene Kim, a resident of Lafayette, is senior vice president of the solution services product management group for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Kim earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California, Davis.
Judy Love, a resident of San Francisco, is the executive vice president of Middle Market Banking for Northern California at Comerica Bank. Love earned her bachelor’s from Central Michigan University and holds a master of business administration from the University of Detroit. San Francisco Business Times recently named Love as one of ‘The Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business.’
