Krissa is a senior at Mountain View High School.  She was born in the Philippines and moving to the US as a young girl was inspired by the opportunities for young people to be civically engaged.  Krissa became involved with the Youth Advisory Group (YAG)  where she is an advocate for Mountain View teens and she joined a non-profit called Girls for a Change (GFC) where she has helped to organize various outreach projects including a speaker series for young women aspiring to be professionals  her involvement.  At GFC, Krissa’s  responsibilities grew to position her as  a member of the Board of Directors.   

While contributing to her peers and community in a very significant way, Krissa also is a strong student as evidenced through her AP and Honors coursework and a 3.76 GPA.  Krissa will be the first in her family to have the opportunity to attend a four year University and is interested in becoming a leader in the non-profit or political sector.
